This case is small and gives you some grip. Incase did replace the case for me (I had to call them because I didn't keep my receipt so the online warranty form didn't get it replaced) but the replacement case obviously has the same flaw.
Try and keep from taking this case off and putting it back on often. There is a small indention where the tear formed. If you do buy this case (I am not saying you shouldn't necessarily), KEEP YOUR RECEIPT and also be very careful when you put it on to put the top part on first to limit the amount of strain you put on the rubber at the headphone jack.
I love this case but it tears near the headphone jack. I have read many other reviewers saying the same thing happened to them.
My replacement case has been fine so far (it has only been 2 weeks) but I have only put it on the one time. I bought this case because the iPhone is too slick and I was always scared I was going to drop it.
This case would be perfect except that after about 3 weeks the case tore near the headphones jack.
I won't be trying a second one, but I did really like the fit of this cover up until it broke. As previously written my case also split at the headphone jack in about 3 weeks.
It did cause the phone to stick to my pocket a bit, but that didn't bother me - it helped the phone not fall OUT of my pocket too.Ok, so that's the good stuff. I've had it 6 months, which is longer than some other reviewers here, but it broke in exactly the same place (at the headphone jack hole). I loved this case when I first got it. The bad stuff - it's now broken. After reading these reviews I've stopped feeling guilty about breaking it - it's totally a design flaw.Sooo, bottom line: it's great if you don't play with it or take it on and off the phone much. It fits well, has holes in all the right places, and even a nice bumpy cover over the volume buttons. It's thin enough to not make the phone bulkier but substantial enough that I didn't worry about cracking my phone when I dropped it a few times.
don't take of the cover once you put it.Hope this hel you guysAlberto I use Incase for my ipgone 2G and for my soon's ipod, but this one for the iphone 3G has some desing problen on the headphone jack hole.but is the best choice in the market after trying many others. The solution for this weakness.
If you see the line that goes through the cover DO NOT buy it.Aside from that the cover is gorgeous and smooth. I went through 2 of these covers in one month and had to return both of them to BestBuy because of the same issue. The Incase line design goes through the hole of the headphone jack creating an incredibly weak spot that WILL break open in about a month. Nobody will pay $30 for something that lasts less than a month.
It's a bit expensive at $30 but in comparison to the iPhone it's not over the top expensive.I have been using an InCase slider instead, it's solid but it gets the job done. Incase, fix your cases before your reputation gets affected by this flawed product. Your iPhone will not slip out of the cover in any circumstance. It will also stretch out a bit from the time you buy it but not enough where it compromises the protection aspect of the cover.
This is issue is being reported in basically all sites that allow you to rate this product and InCase does not look like they've addressed or recalled the cover since they started receiving the complaints. The only other issue I had with it is trivial, it gets stuck to your pocket when you try to get it out and that can be slightly annoying, but it's rubber and it will happen. This product is almost completely excellent except for one fatal flaw. It feels fantastic on your hand and absorbs the temperature of the phone so it never gets overly hot.
CHECK the case before you but it. Mine broke a bit faster than most. In fact they expanded the colors available to about 9 now, though I don't know if the new ones have the same problem.
